The judge tells him “obviously a custodial sentence of some length will result”
The comedian and actor, 51, has been remanded in custody and will be sentenced on Monday
Brand faced seven charges: three of rape, three of sexual assault and one of attempted indecent assault. He was found not guilty on three counts
The seven charges dated from 1999 to 2009 and concerned six women. They are all entitled to lifelong anonymity
Before and during Brand’s rape and sexual assault trial, videos were posted on his social media accounts to his millions of followers.
In one episode called “The I of The Storm”, Brand talked about feeling “God’s presence” walking into court.
The day after the prosecution opened the case to the jury, a post on Brand’s X account said “the prayer is working thank you”.
And at the end of the first week of his trial another episode called “Sunday Service with the Brands” was posted.
“You’ve looked absolutely beautiful and spectacular,” Brand told his wife, referring to what she had worn to court.
“You’ve looked wonderful too,” she replied.
Laura Brand said they read psalms on their way to court and before they went in they prayed.
Referring to media covering the trial, she said: “We are pretty vigilant about not engaging in the media around it, it’s too evil, sorry to say.”
We can now bring you images from some of Russell Brand’s police interviews, issued by the Metropolitan Police.
The first dates from 2025; the second from 2023.

Russell Brand faced seven charges in total: three of rape, three of sexual assault and one of attempted indecent assault.
He was found guilty of one count of rape and three counts of sexual assault – you can read a summary of his offences here.
He was found not guilty on three counts.
Brand was cleared of raping a woman at a hotel in Bournemouth in 1999, where he was attending the Labour Party conference. He had been performing at a cabaret show where he met the woman.
He was found not guilty of an attempted indecent assault offence – he was accused of grabbing a woman’s arm and pulling her towards a toilet in 2001.
He was also found not guilty of orally raping a woman in a toilet at a bar in London. The attack was alleged to have happened when they had been at a birthday party together.
We can now bring you a statement from the Crown Prosecution Service.
“Russell Brand was predatory and used his celebrity status to commit sexual crimes,” says David Roberts, senior prosecutor in the London rape and serious sexual assault unit.
“He was a manipulator with an insatiable desire to get what he wanted regardless of whether consent was given or not.
“As his career took off, he seized opportunities to assault the women around him.
“Although his tactics varied, at the centre of every assault was an abuse of power and sexual greed, with a complete disregard for the impact of his actions.
“I would like to thank all the women in this case for their courage in coming forward and seeing this sexual abuser brought to justice.”
A comedian and writer who worked with Russell Brand has described him as being “like a wolf” where women were concerned.
Cole Parker shared an agent with Brand in the 1990s, and the two men often performed on the same comedy circuit. He says they were in contact until 2013.
In an interview with the BBC, Parker says Brand’s attitude towards women was “absolutely deplorable”, and that he would often go from being “very charming to very angry and threatening when he didn’t get what he wanted”.
“If a girl walked past him, he’d give himself whiplash, looking at her so quickly. He would stare at women the way that a starving person would stare at a plate of food.
“He looked like a wolf. He looked like he was about to jump on them.”
Ron Brand, Russell’s father, tells the BBC he’s “bemused and shocked” by the verdicts.
“I just didn’t expect this – it’s wrong,” he says. “It’s devastating.”
After the verdict, Russell Brand returns to the dock to hear details of his sentencing hearing, which will take place on Monday.
Brand is sitting down, his wife is absent from the public gallery.
For what I think is the first time during this trial, the door to the dock is closed.
The judge thanks the defence for submissions and confirms we’ll meet again on Monday at 10:30 GMT for sentencing.
Brand exits the dock and is remanded in custody – he’s refused bail.
As he leaves the dock, he mouths “I’m good, I’m good” to his defence counsel.
His walk was steady paced and he continued to show little emotion.

As a reminder, Russell Brand has been found guilty of one count of rape and three counts of sexual assault.
The comedian and actor has been found guilty of sexually assaulting a woman at a bar in London in 2004.
They’d been at a birthday party in Soho and had been chatting at the bar for less than a minute when Brand grabbed her breasts.
He has been found guilty of sexually assaulting a woman at the Choice FM studios in London in either 2004 or 2005. He grabbed her face and kissed her before touching her breasts and bottom.
Brand has also been found guilty of raping a woman at his then home in London in 2009, days after meeting her at the Hammersmith Apollo theatre where he’d been performing a comedy show.
She visited his home in Hampstead where they had consensual sex before he anally raped her. She had told the court “he hurt me and harmed me and when I asked him to stop he didn’t”.
Brand has also been found guilty of a sexual assault charge while working on a Channel 4 project in 2009.
The 51-year-old laid his head into the groin area of a woman working with him at the time without her consent.
The woman said his mouth and nose were in her vaginal area. She told the court she was repulsed at the situation and reported the incident to her line manager at the time.
