*THE WAY GHANAIANS TREAT ANIMALS AND WATER IS CRUEL, WE NEED LAWS TO PROTECT THEM – MUSLIM SCHOLAR VOICES OUT.*

The Chairman of the Muslims Executive Foundation (MEF), Alhaji Musah Abubakari has expressed his worries about the manner and way most Ghanaians maltreat animals especially pet and our water bodies in the country.

According to him, the way Ghanaians Treat Animals like Goats, Sheeps, Dogs, fowls, Cows and others and also destroying our water bodies is very terrible.

Speaking in an interview with Agyenkwa fm’s Obofo Michael, Alhaji Musah who doubles as the managing director of Basfarm Company in Kumasi observed that Allah created animals and water for a purpose.

He noted that animals exist to protect mankind and not for only consumption.

The Scholar registered his disappointment that due to lack of understanding about the existence of animals apart from killing them for meals, people maltreat them.

He added that the way we treat our animals and water bodies is very bad.lf we were in advanced countries many of us would have been jailed.

Alhaji Musah Abubakari, therefore, indicated that the government must pass a law to protect animals and water bodies  In the country.
