The accused, identified as Emmanuel Ekumfi, is facing allegations involving the sexual abuse of the children, including accusations of defilement and sodomy. He is expected to return before the court on September 15, 2026, as investigations and legal proceedings continue.

The disturbing allegations reportedly came to light after the children’s mother, Antoinette Boakye, became concerned about unusual symptoms she observed in her eldest daughter. According to the mother, she questioned the girl about the condition, during which the child allegedly disclosed that her father had sexually abused her.

The mother further alleged that her daughter subsequently revealed that three of her younger sisters had also allegedly been subjected to similar abuse.

Following the disclosure, the matter was reported to the Kasoa Millennium City Police, who commenced investigations that resulted in the arrest of the accused and his subsequent appearance before the court.

The prosecution of the case now places the allegations before the judicial process, with the court expected to determine the circumstances surrounding the claims as proceedings advance.

The children’s mother, who has reportedly been deeply distressed by the allegations, has appealed to the relevant authorities to ensure that the case receives an expeditious hearing.

Speaking in an interview with Adom News, she also called for appropriate protection, care and support for her daughters as the legal process unfolds.

The case has raised renewed concerns about the protection of children from sexual abuse and the importance of ensuring that alleged victims receive adequate safeguarding and psychological support while authorities pursue justice.

The accused has not been convicted of any offence. The allegations remain unproven in court, and Emmanuel Ekumfi is presumed innocent unless and until a competent court establishes his guilt in accordance with the law.
