He has stated that first, as many as eight PWDs have been called to the Ghana Bar as lawyers and two, a tertiary fund has been set up for PWDs in higher education.

This was contained in a press release dated Tuesday, December 2, 2025, from Accra, Ghana.

He has therefore, ahead of the celebration of the International Day for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), which falls on3rd December, 2025, expressed thanks to God, and the Government of the Republic of Ghana through the President, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, for the leadership shown thus far.

He has also thanked the Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) in the forefront of the disability struggle in Ghana.

These are the Ghana Federation of Disabled (GFD), Centre for Democratic Development (CDD), Rights of Youth and Disability (RYD) International, John Agyekum Kufuor (JAK) Foundation, Tradition and Law Advocates (TALA) and Helping Hand (H4P) among others.

He has also expressed gratitude to all the good people of the motherland who cherish the betterment and upliftment of PWDs — be they religious bodies, traditional rulers, academics, or businessmen and women.

“On the occasion of the International Day of PWDs, 2025, we in Ghana join hands with all other colleagues elsewhere, both in Africa and beyond, to celebrate this day under the global theme:

“Fostering disability-inclusive societies for advancing social progress.”

“We further re-affirm the belief that disability is not inability. Our motto in this regard is: “The success in life of any human being is victory for humankind.”
