NYCFC and LAFC continue to reign supreme

Week 15 of Major League Soccer’s 2022 campaign is in the books and it did not disappoint. LAFC continues to lead in the West, with NYCFC steering the East.

Here’s everything that happened this weekend…

Yimmi Chara was at it again for the Timbers before Dejan Joveljic cancelled out his strike in the 88th minute.

It took just two minutes for Lewis Morgan to secure the lead for the Red Bulls. Luquinhas then doubled the score in the second half to secure the three points.

LAFC continues to reign supreme. Despite their Week 15 draw against the Sounders, the LA side still leads the Western Conference table.

Orlando City is slowly become a favorite in the East. The team defeated the Houston Dynamo as goals from Ercan Kara trumped Sebastian Ferreira’s 59th minute strike.

Goals from Alejandro Bedoya and Brandon Vazquez cancelled each other out to lead the Union and FC Cincinnati to a point each.

The Eastern Conference’s bottom two teams battled it out on Saturday at Soldier Field. Fabian Herbers managed to win the game for Chicago, but the team remains in last place.

Despite their competitive run, FC Dallas fell to Canadian MLS side Vancouver Whitecaps.

Goals from Marcelo Silva and Jefferson Savarino led Real Salt Lake to their victory over the san Jose Earthquakes. RSL is now just two points away from Western Conference leaders LAFC.

Sporting Kansas City earned a much needed victory against Nashville at GEODIS Park. Aké Arnaud Loba pulled one back for the home side in the 63rd minute, but Sporting KC proved too much for their opponent.

The NE Revolution continue to make their way up the Eastern Conference table. Bruce Arena’s side is now sixth after securing the three points against Minnesota United.

Goals from Luiz Araujo and Josef Martinez led Atlanta United to three points over Inter Miami, boosting their spot on the Eastern Conference table to ninth.

NYCFC continues to lead in the East after managing a draw against the Colorado Rapids. Goals from Talles Magno and Michael Barrios cancelled each other out to award each side one point.
