The Ministry of Interior has on the advice of the Brong Ahafo Regional Security Council and by Executive Instrument renewed the curfew hours for Drobo, Japekrom, Babianiha, Kwasibuorkrom, Mpuasu, Basakrom, Kojokesekrom and Katakyiekrom in the Jaman South Municipality of the Brong Ahafo region from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am effective Thursday, January 13, 2022.
This was contained in a press release dated Thursday, January 13, 2022. It was signed by Hon Ambrose Derry, Minister for the Interior.
The statement said that government continued to urge the Chiefs, elders, opinion leaders and youth and people of the area to exercise restraint in the face of challenges confronting them as well as use non-violent means to channel their energies into ensuring peace in the area.
Meanwhile, there is a total ban on all persons in the afore-mentioned communities and their environs from carrying arms, ammunition or any offensive weapons and any person found with any arms or ammunition would be arrested and prosecuted.
