In Tema, ECG has scheduled two separate maintenance exercises, with the first taking place on Tuesday, November 10, between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm.
The affected locations will include Dawhenya Township, Abbey Kope, Ablekuma, Lebanon Zones 3 and 4, Zenu, Atadeka, Tema International School, EU China Mall, Don Bosco, Tulaku, Bethlehem, Sebrepor and White Estates.
Other communities and facilities expected to experience interruptions include Afienya, particularly EMEF and Coastal Estates, Goshen, Gbetsile, Leonardo, Adjetey Ansah, Manhean, Naval Quarters Base, Aunty Kate, Bankuman and U-Compound, together with their surrounding areas.
The second Tema exercise is scheduled for Thursday, November 12, also between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm.
Communities expected to be affected include Jordan City, Santor, Aunty Araba, Agbeshie Laryea, Nelplast, Kubekro, Switzerland, Sydal Farms, Japan City, Adjei Kojo, Teteman, Global, Nudu, Frankadua, Kissifui, Osiabura, Asikuma, Anum, Bosso and Mpakadan, as well as adjoining communities.
ECG explained that the scheduled interruptions form part of its ongoing efforts to undertake essential maintenance on its electricity distribution infrastructure and strengthen the reliability of power supply to customers.
The company has apologised to residents, businesses and institutions expected to be affected, appealing for their understanding and cooperation while the maintenance operations are carried out.
The planned outages mean that households, commercial establishments, educational institutions and other electricity dependent facilities within the affected communities may need to make alternative arrangements to minimise disruptions to their daily activities during the specified periods.
Customers are therefore encouraged to plan ahead, particularly businesses and institutions whose operations depend heavily on uninterrupted electricity supply.
