The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) of Ghana has received a four-member team from Rwanda FDA on a benchmarking visit to understudy the processes involved in the regulation of Cosmetics and Household Chemical Substances in Ghana in their bid to strengthen their regulatory processes and structures in their home country.

The team was highly impressed with the regulatory procedures in place which translated to the effective regulation of these product categories in Ghana.
Additionally, the level of support Ghana FDA gives to Small and Medium Scale Enterprises through its Progressive Licensing Scheme was seen as an innovative venture worthy of emulation.
