One of the big forces of the upcoming NPP presidential primaries in November is on the campaign trail and message in the various constituencies.
At a mini rally at the Odogoorno Secondary Senior High, Alan Kyeremanten emphasized that he will never wage a campaign of hate speech, destruction, vilification and divisiveness against any of the ten able contestants.
Hon Kyeremanten reemphasized that he has a good message and plans to sell himself and has no time to destroy his competitors .
“All the ten contestants are eligible and capable in their own rights. We are all party members and qualify to contest and lead the party. So it behooves on me to tell delegates what l stand for and am bringing to them and Ghana and not on unhealthy inconsequential things. I respect my competitors very well,” he said.
This is the fourth time Hon Alan Kyeremanten is availing himself for the flagbearership for the party. He contested in 2007, 2012, 2014, and now 2023.
According to him, he has the Great Transformation Agenda plan to transform the country. Indeed he promised to take the country out of the current IMF contract as soon as he becomes president in 2025 if he gets the power to rule Ghana. He disclosed that a lot of good things are in his GTA plan that will be the redemption scheme to see the country transit from current economic challenges to a booming one.
He praised the current president for setting the parameters and tone for a significant leap in the next four years per job creation. He asked the delegates to select him as a winning candidate instead of a mere flag bearer.
“He who has the records and has done something better cannot be sidelined if someone is is needed to solve a problem. I have done a lot as a Trade minister from Kufour regime to date for the introduction of good policies, jobs,  so I am a doer par excellence,” Hon Alan Kyeremanten said.
He enumerated some of his achievements and contributions from 1992 as Chairman of the the Young Executive Forum who patently funded the newly formed NPP and so many trade opportunities he has single handedly brought to the party and the country like AfCFTA headquarters in Ghana.
He told the delegates that as a result of his competence, he was the first minister announced by the current president Nana Addo to head the Trade ministry and has brought good and new things for Ghana.
The aspiring candidate asked for a candidate that cuts across, in terms of winning in all regions, tried and tested, loyal and dedicated, has been with them from the scratch to date, who understands, knows, shares and can solve their problems. A candidate that  appeals to generality of the Ghanaian populace, will resonate with the people, and who can win massively in his strong hold and can slug it out with the NDC in their strong holds and a candidate who is continentally and internationally  exposed.
“Some of you feel sidelined and marginalized, feel rejected and dejected and look so deprived as a result renew your trust and faith in me and your work and loyalty will be duly rewarded. It is not right for some of you to continue in your current sad state and you deserve better,” he said.
Hon. Alan promised to pay all constituency and electoral executives every month and go ahead to pay SSNIT contributions to them on their retirement.
