The Aowin Traditional Council has opposed what it refers to as the unjust transfer of it’s registrar, Elijah Kwasi Asare without their notice which is an affront to Nananom and disrespect to their office.
According to the council, they vehemently oppose the said transfer and call for the immediate reversal of the said action to forestall peace in the Traditional area and they want to state that the transfer has been done out of malice and ill-conceived agenda by Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi, the President of Western North House of Chiefs to perpetuate his long-held evil motive to gazette the self-styled Omanhene, Thomas Antwi Agyei.
The spoken person for Aowin Traditional Council, Nana Kwame Nkansah *II* at a Press conference in Accra said, the Traditional Council has not requested the Ministry of chieftaincy to transfer the Registrar.
He said, the current state of the Traditional Council would not require a part-time registrar because of the actions of the self-styled Omanhene and his cohorts who are bent on rendering the Council defunct.
He stressed that, for the first time in three years, the Traditional Council was able to hold full meetings and select representatives for various committees through the competence of Mr.Asare and called on the President and the land and chiefs to come to their aid.
The Aowin Traditional Council also petitioned against Thomas Antwi Agyei aka Beyeeman Tanko kwaw Benbuin, self-styled Oman here of Aowin Traditional area, and his cohort which is causing chaos and trouble in the Aowin Traditional Area.
According to him, his attempt to fulfill his responsibilities as Oman here has deprived the Traditional area of a sense of tranquility.
He added that, if things are not put in a rightful way, they stage a two days demonstration to demand justice for the Aowin Traditional Council.
