The Presiding Member of the Ho Municipal Assembly, Mr Mawunyo Agbe, has been elected Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the Ho Central Constituency.
Mr Agbe secured victory over four other contenders in the constituency executive elections held on Saturday, October 24th, 2026. Other elected executives include Ms Sena Setordzi Dorvlo, a Ho-based trader, as Vice Chairperson; Ms Margaret Akua Dzogbewu, a teacher, who retained her position as Women’s Organiser; and Mr Sefadzi Agama, also a teacher, as Communications Officer. Mr Nasiru Din Mohammed retained his position as Constituency Organiser, businessman Alhaji Usif Osman was elected Zongo Caucus Coordinator, while Mr Saviour Amakpa, Ho Municipal Manager of the National Health Insurance Authority, was elected Treasurer.
The polls were conducted in a peaceful and orderly manner, with no incidents recorded.
