The campaign team of former Greater Accra Regional Minister Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus Glover has been involved in a road accident in the Oti Region while travelling to Ghana’s five northern regions as part of preparations for the upcoming New Patriotic Party National Executive elections.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, between noon and 1 p.m., according to a statement released by the campaign’s Spokesperson and Communications Director, Ellen Ama Daaku.
The collision reportedly happened a few minutes from Dambai as members of the campaign’s security, operations and communications teams travelled as part of the candidate’s ongoing campaign activities.
According to the statement, one of the campaign’s operational pickup vehicles, which was being driven by the Campaign Manager, collided with the rear of a Toyota Tundra being used by Mr Titus Glover during the campaign tour.
The impact reportedly resulted in considerable damage to both vehicles, prompting the occupants of the two vehicles to be transported to the Dambai Government Hospital for medical assessment and treatment.
Ms Daaku said all individuals involved in the incident received the necessary medical attention and were subsequently discharged from the hospital.
She further assured supporters and members of the public that those involved were doing well following the incident and that the accident had not affected the campaign’s determination to continue its activities.
According to the campaign spokesperson, the team has maintained a positive outlook despite the setback, with morale remaining high among members as they continue their engagements across the country.
She said the campaign remains firmly focused on its objective of securing victory for Mr Titus Glover in the NPP National Executive elections scheduled for October 3, 2026.
The campaign team is expected to continue its regional engagements as part of efforts to strengthen support for the former Greater Accra Regional Minister ahead of the national contest.
