Speaking to Citi Newsroom, Kingsley Agyemang confirmed that he complied with the invitation, appeared before the Bureau on Tuesday, May 5, provided his statement, and subsequently departed after the engagement.

The development comes in the wake of a recent investigative publication by The Fourth Estate, which alleged that scholarship awards were disproportionately allocated to individuals with strong political connections and substantial financial means, raising concerns about equity and transparency in the administration of public educational support.

In parallel, the Office of the Special Prosecutor Ghana has confirmed that it is conducting an independent and ongoing investigation into the operations of the Ghana Scholarships Secretariat, with the probe reportedly examining activities dating back to July 2023.

The simultaneous investigations by multiple state institutions signal heightened scrutiny of scholarship administration practices, as authorities seek to determine whether due process and eligibility criteria were consistently adhered to in the awarding of state funded educational support.
