Charterhouse Productions has formally announced a revision to the venue for the twenty seventh edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards, confirming that the ceremony will now be at the Grand Arena within the Accra International Conference Centre.
The event, which is scheduled for Saturday, May 9, had originally been designated to take place at the Palms Convention Centre. However, in a statement released on Tuesday, May 5, the organisers clarified that the decision to alter the location is intended to elevate production standards and to better accommodate the expanding magnitude of the অনুষ্ঠান.
According to the organisers, the revised arrangement will see this year’s ceremony commence at seven in the evening at the Grand Arena, a venue they describe as better suited to the evolving demands of the awards programme. The statement emphasised that the transition reflects a broader progression in the scale, ambition, and technical sophistication that has come to define the Telecel Ghana Music Awards over time.
Charterhouse Productions further explained that the Grand Arena, which has served as host for the ceremony since 2019, provides superior infrastructure necessary for advanced stage design, seamless broadcast execution, and enhanced audience interaction. The venue’s expanded capacity and modern technical capabilities were cited as critical factors in delivering a refined and globally competitive entertainment experience.
The organisers also conveyed appreciation to principal partners, including headline sponsor Telecel Ghana, alongside various public institutions, for their continued collaboration and support in facilitating this year’s.
The twenty seventh edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards is anticipated to assemble prominent personalities from across Ghana’s music landscape for an evening dedicated to performances and honours recognising artistic excellence.
Among those contending for the prestigious Artiste of the Year distinction are Black Sherif, Wendy Shay, Medikal, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, and Diana Hamilton, underscoring the competitive depth and diversity within the industry.
