The Municipal Chief Executive of Birim Central Municipal Assembly, Solomon Kusi Brako has told constituents that he eats Tuo Zaafi, a local northern delicacy with his common fund of Six Million Ghana Cedis.
In a Facebook reaction to a constituent who harmlessly enquired what he has so far done with the Assemblies common fund, the MCE replied that, he has received Six Million Ghana Cedis so far and he has been eating TZ with it. This has drawn a lot of condemnation from Facebook users describing this as arrogant and disrespectful.The MCE who has been an active social media user is mostly seen chastising his political opponents on Facebook. On the back of the many condemnations, Solomon Kusi Brako dishonorably deleted the post and described a flyer made out of his comment as fake. Unfortunately, some Facebook users had screenshot the post which had started going viral on social media. As the President’s representative in the municipality, one wonders what kind of orientation was given to some of these MMDCEs on how to relate to their constituents.
