Former NPP General Secretary John Boadu has made a shocking allegation that President John Dramani Mahama personally wrote the petition to remove Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo.
According to Boadu, Mahama’s ultimate goal is to secure a third term in office by packing the Supreme Court with sympathetic judges.
Speaker at a petition presentation to the Parliament, he accused of hypocrisy in some Ghanaians. “Listen to NDC MPs, Minister, it means it was a calculated agenda to remove the Chief Justice and pack the Supreme Court.”
“Why are we behaving like hypocrites?” Boadu asked, emphasizing that Mahama’s actions are part of a calculated agenda to undermine the judiciary.
The “Save the Judiciary Demo” highlights growing concerns about the government’s actions and their potential impact on the country’s institutions and democracy.
