The Minister for the Interior on the advice of the Northern Regional Security Council lifted the curfew on Kpatinga Township and its environs in the Northern Region with immediate effect.

This has been necessitated by the genuine desire of the Chiefs and people of the area to sustain peace in the area as well as the improvement in the security situation in the area.
This was contained in a release signed by Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak (MP), Minister for the Interior in Accra on Friday, March 28, 2025
Government continued to express its gratitude to the Chiefs, Elders, Opinion Leaders, Youth, and people of the area and urges them to continue to resort to peaceful means in solving their problems.
