His traditional name is Nana Kofi Ankrah IV.
The new chief succeeds his senior brother Nana Kofi Ankrah III who was destooled by Nana Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II in 2018.
Nana Kofi Ankrah IV swore an oath of allegiance to Nana Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II, the Omanhene of the Anhwiaso Traditional Area.
Nana Kofi Ankrah IV in an address to the gathering called for peace and mutual understanding among the chiefs and the people for progress in the traditional area, especially his community. The gathering included chiefs, queen mothers, elders of the community, members of the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipal Assembly, and the members of the Agona family of the new chief,
Nana Kofi Ankrah IV showed appreciation to the Paramount Chief of Anhwiaso Traditional Area, the President of the National House of Chiefs, and the President of the Western North Regional House of Chiefs Nana Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II, for installing him as Sefwi Ankra-Muano.
The newly installed chief hinted that he has planned to serve and help Anhwiaso Traditional Area.
Nana Kofi Ankrah IV expressed gratitude to the chiefs and elders of Sefwi Ankra-Muano for ensuring sanity and orderliness in the town.
In addition, in an interview with the Daily Searchlight, Nana Kofi Ankrah IV said the people of the town should forge ahead in unity and order to develop the town.
He urged the people of the area to join forces together with him to seek the development of their community.
He said that it is needful for Sefwi Ankra-Muano to develop like its surrounding towns.
“We must also get somewhere with development. As it stands, it looks like we are the only town that lacks progress as far as developmental projects are concerned and we must together champion an agenda to grow our town to be like the others”, he said.
Nana Kofi Ankrah IV said, “it is unfortunate that our people who have reached the top hardly come to our aid because even out there, people from Sefwi Ankra-Muano are shy to disclose they come from here. I am urging us all to be proud of our town and come together to help build it well.”
The new chief appealed to parents to attach great importance to the education of their children instead of allowing them to go wayward.
He also cautioned against forcing children into illegal mining popularly known as”Galamsey” and promised to liaise with government officials to bring development to the town.
He promised also to boost the Education Fund in the area to enable many brilliant and needy students to get access to quality education.
