The one week funeral observation of the late Paramount Queen Mother of Wenchi Nana Atoa Seramangyedua III has been slated for 25th July, 2025.
The occasion would be observed at the forecourt of Wenchi Traditional Council.
The Wenchi Traditional Council in the Bono Region officially announced the death of Nana Atoa Seramangyedua III, the Paramount Queen Mother of Wenchi Traditional Area last week.
She passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025 at age 95.
Nana Atoa Seramangyedua III was installed as Paramount Queen Mother of the Wenchi Traditional Area on 7th January, 1977.
Nana Ampofo Atoa Seramangyedua III reigned for 48 years.
Nana Ampofo Atoa Seramangyedua III known in private life as Abena Nsia or Abena Boatemaa.
She was the sixth child of her parents.
The Wenchi Traditional Council has ordered residents to wear black to mourn the late Paramount Queen Mother for one week period.
Nana Owusu Ameyaw Ababio, the Head of Ahenfie Yefiri Royal Family who doubles as Abakomahene of Wenchi Traditional Council announced the death of Nana Atoa Seramangyedua III on Friday morning at the Ahenfie Yefiri Royal Family House at Wenchi.
