NHIA ENHANCES OPERATIONS IN ATWIMA MPONUA

As part of its infrastructure expansion projects taking place across the country, a high profile delegation from the NHIA head office led by Deputy Chief Executive officer in charge of Operations, Louisa Atta-Agyemang (Mrs.) and other management staff, has inaugurated an ultra modern district office complex at Atwima Mponua in the Ashanti region.
The District in 2014 was adjudged the best performing District Scheme in the country. Again, in 2015, it was rewarded as the overall best in the country in terms of membership and premium generation.
In spite of all these achievements, the housing of the office was in a poor state.
The new office complex has fully furnished offices for the District Manager, Accountant, MIS, client waiting room, staff kitchen, separate washrooms for staff and clients, as well as a conference room.
In her speech, the Deputy Chief Executive expressed the commitment of the government in ensuring the growth and sustainability of the NHIA. She reiterated that the Authority was resolute to eradicate the illegal charges menace the Scheme faces and also commended the staff and management for their hard work over the years and encouraged them to do more.
The Dustrict Chief Executive, Mr. Isaac Kofi Marfo appreciated the efforts and development brought to the district by the government. He appealed to management to take a keen interest in the maintenance of the facility.
The occasion also witnessed the presence of other dignitaries in the person of Nana Akwamuhene, Nana Oti Boadu, who doubled as the Chairman and representative of Nana Nyinahin Hene, Mr. Bismark A. Boadi also represented the Member of Parliament. Assembly members and other government institutional heads were also present to grace the occasion.
