The Ministry of Finance has announced that Minister of Finance Ken Ofori-Atta is still at post and called on the general public to ignore suggestions on social media that he has resigned from his position.
This was contained in a press release from the Public Relations Unit of the Ministry dated 5th October, 2021.
The Ministry stated that its attention has been drawn to rumours circulating on social media platforms that the Minister has resigned from his position.
“The Ministry wishes to assure the general public that there is no truth in these rumours. Mr. Ken Ofori-Ata is at post and focused on his mandate, given him by His Excellency the President, to serve the people of Ghana in his capacity as Finance Minister.
“The general public is advised to disregard these rumours,” the statement concluded.
