At the Koforidua Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Ascension Congregation, a renowned Evangelist Boniface Adjei mounted the pulpit to preach on the theme “Jesus Accepts All”, as outlined in the Presbyterian Church of Ghana Almanac.
‎
‎Scripture readings were taken from Acts 11:1–18, Revelation 21:1–6, and John 13:31, 35.
‎
‎Evangelist Boniface Adjei assured the congregation that Jesus indeed accepts all. He emphasized that with His hands outstretched and nailed to the Cross—positioned between a thief and a robber—Jesus demonstrated His inclusive love by extending an invitation to the robber who believed in Him.
‎
‎Referencing the resurrection, Evangelist Adjei highlighted how Peter—who once denied Jesus—was later empowered to preach boldly, resulting in the salvation of three thousand souls in a single day. He further explained that, in Joppa at the house of Cornelius, God revealed to Peter that no person should be considered unclean or unacceptable. This was clearly manifested when the Holy Spirit fell upon the Gentiles as Peter preached, showing that they too were accepted by God.
‎
‎“If Jesus accepts all and baptizes without discrimination,” Evangelist Adjei asked, “how dare any individual reject another?” He stressed that no one is a nonentity before God and cautioned against looking down on others, warning that someone despised today might be the very person God uses to save one’s life tomorrow.
‎
‎Touching on another dimension, Evangelist Adjei spoke about persistent Christian living. He cited the story of the Canaanite woman who, though referred to as a “dog” by Jewish standards, received her miracle because of her persistent faith. Jesus, who “accepts all,” acknowledged her faith, declaring, “Your faith has made you whole,” and her daughter was instantly healed.
‎
‎He encouraged the congregation to move beyond casual Christianity and embrace a persistent Christian faith. “Be extraordinary Christians, not ordinary ones,” he urged. “Be ‘born again’ Christians, where old things pass away and all things become new.”
‎
‎He admonished believers to avoid the broad and easy path that leads to destruction. A born-again Christian, he said, must show evidence of a transformed life, free from cheating, stealing, fornication, drunkenness, drug abuse, corruption, and other uncontrolled behaviors.
‎
‎According to Evangelist Adjei, “Nominal Christians who live in sin will perish, but those who live persistently for Christ are the ones who will inherit the New Heaven and the New Earth, where righteousness dwells.” He reminded the congregation that even thieves, tax collectors, and harlots who repent may enter the Kingdom of God before those who take their salvation lightly.
‎
‎In summary, Evangelist Adjei acknowledged that overcoming the world isn’t easy, but persistent Christians can do all things through Christ who strengthens them. With Jesus, all things are possible. He extended Christ’s invitation to all who are weary and burdened, urging them to take His yoke and learn from Him, for He is meek and humble in heart—and in Him, they will find rest.
‎
‎Finally, Evangelist Boniface Adjei charged the congregation to be addicted to reading, meditating on, and practicing the Word of God. “In doing so,” he concluded, “the prosperity of God will be your portion.” He supported this with God’s instruction to Joshua—to not let the Book of the Law depart from his mouth, but to meditate on it day and night and carefully observe all that is written in it, so that he may be prosperous and have good success as an extraordinary Christian.
