Accra, July 03, GNA – The Great Commission Church International (GCCI) on Sunday ordained the first batch of 32 Permanent Elders for ministerial work.
The ordination, which took place in Accra at the climax of the Church’s 2022 Conference of Destiny was on the theme, “Jesus, the Man of Prayers and Missions.”
Apostle Professor Samuel Asuming-Brempong, the Chairman of the GCCI Ghana National Council, who inducted the Permanent Elders into Office, charged them to feed the flock of God and to take oversight of them, not by constraint but willingly.
“I charge you as you stand in the presence of God and these witnesses that a bishop must be blameless as the steward of God, not self-willed, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre, but a lover of hospitality…,” he said.
He tasked the inductees to be concerned about the needs of the Church family.
Apostle Joseph Felix Kwesi Mensah, the Chairman of the International Executive Council of the GCCI, in a homily urged Christians to imitate the prayer life of Jesus.
He said: “Every Christian must build a personal prayer life that matches Jesus Christ’s.”
Apostle Mensah, who advised Christians to take the propagation of the Great Commission of Jesus Christ very seriously, also appealed to them to value the things of God and to always pray for the salvation of the nations of the world.
He said winning souls, churching, discipling them and training disciples who also make disciples Christlike disciples was very critical towards fully the task of global evangelism.
 Apostle Mensah said “…The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth laborers into his harvest.”
Reverend Godson Gbloe, the Second Vice Chairman of GCCI Ghana National Council in his welcome address urged Christians to pray that they would be able to walk in the fullness of their God given destiny.
