The Eastern Regional Commander, PNCO Grace A-B Tawiah, has paid a courtesy call to the Eastern Regional Director of Ghana Education Service, Mrs. Ivy Asantewa Owusu (PhD). The visit forms part of her familiarization tour to foster a good relationship between NACOC and other regional stakeholders and officially introduce herself as the new Regional Commander to the Regional Director of Education.
PNCO Grace A-B Tawiah expressed her gratitude to Mrs. Ivy Asantewa Owusu (PhD) and her team for their continuous support and for granting the Command permission to visit the various schools to conduct sensitization programs and establish Drug-Free Clubs within the Basic and Senior High Schools.
She also took the opportunity to present a copy of the NACOC EYE Magazine to the Regional Director of Education. Mrs. Ivy Asantewa Owusu (PhD) was very pleased with the visit and was delighted when she saw the story “Eastern Regional Command Supports New Juaben South Municipality 2023 BECE Candidates with Mathematical Sets” captured in the NACOC eye.
She thanked the Command for its commitment to the fight against drug abuse and pledged her unflinching support in the sensitization of students within her jurisdiction about the negative effects of narcotics drugs. Mrs. Ivy Asantewa also stressed the need for the NACOC Education team to engage Parent Teacher Associations (PTA) to educate them about the various signs of drug abuse that could help them detect if their children are abusing any substances.
