The apprehension followed an operation conducted at his private residence in Kumasi last week, where officials carried out a search as part of their inquiries.

Sources within EOCO indicate that he was detained on Tuesday April 28 and remains in the custody of the agency while investigations continue.

Persons familiar with the matter suggest that the arrest forms part of a broader probe into alleged violations of public financial management procedures. Investigators are reportedly examining how certain official resources were handled during his tenure at GIHOC, with the aim of determining whether established protocols were adhered to.

The development marks a significant step in what appears to be an expanding inquiry into administrative practices within the state owned enterprise.

The situation remains fluid, with further updates expected as the investigation progresses.
