Corentin Tolisso has confirmed that he will be leaving Bayern Munich when he contract expires on 30 June.
The midfielder joined Die Roten from Lyon in 2017 and went on to make 118 appearances for the club, scoring 21 goals. Tolisso would help Bayern win the Bundesliga in each of his five seasons in Bavaria too, as well as lifting the Champions League in 2020.
Tolisso’s contract expires next month and he has long been expected to move on in the summer, with the Frenchman at last confirming his departure via social media on Monday.
“A new page is turned…” he wrote.
“A big THANK YOU for these five beautiful years which brought me so much on a sporting and personal level! I wish the best to Bayern Munich for the years to come!”
Tolisso is not the only big name set to leave Bayern this summer. Star striker Robert Lewandowski is also expected to depart after clashing with the club over a new contract.
Lewandowski sensationally claimed that he does not see himself playing for Bayern again recently, with Barcelona among the clubs interested in signing him.
Serge Gnabry’s future is uncertain too, though he could be replaced by Sadio Mane – whom the Bundesliga giants have been strongly linked with.
