BAWKU- GOV’T TAKES STRONG STEP!

The government of Ghana has acted swiftly and firmly to stop developments in Nalerigu, where a group of people has supposedly enskinned a Bawku-Naba.
The fateful events took place yesterday.
However, in a strongly worded statement yesterday, Minister of Information Kojo Oppong Nkrumah stated that the government thoroughly condemned the events concerning the purported enskinment of a Bawku Naba on February 15, 2023.
The government reiterated that Naba Asigri Abugrago Azorka II is the Bawku-Naba, duly gazetted and a member of the National and Upper East Regional Houses of Chiefs.
The statement noted that the security agencies had been directed to arrest and prosecute any other person who holds himself out as Bawku Naba. Furthermore, any developments that have the potential to derail the peace at Bawku would be dealt with swiftly and in accordance with the law, the statement concluded.
