Partnering with iMullar Sound System, the singer-songwriter brought her global tour for her most recent studio project, Blackstar, to a grand close in Accra. The event unfolded as a world-class experience, reflecting the calibre of international live music productions.

Following the release of the event itinerary on her official Twitter page, skeptics were swiftly silenced as the concert commenced promptly and concluded exactly as scheduled—despite the late arrival of some attendees.

The deliberate planning behind the structure of her setlist, the exceptional quality of her live delivery, and the seamless execution of the overall production were nothing short of outstanding.

The audience comprised a vibrant mix of devoted fans, creative spirits, and cultural tastemakers, all united under a striking all-black dress code that amplified the night’s visual identity. From the expertly curated DJ selections by iMullar to Amaarae’s captivating stage presence, the energy never dipped, sustaining excitement from start to finish.

Special guest performances from Sarkodie, Gyakie, FTY, and the Asaakaa Boys elevated the night even further, leaving patrons exhilarated and carrying home memories of a one-of-a-kind musical encounter.

The Blackout Concert was presented through a collaboration between Amaarae, iMullar Sound System, and a host of corporate partners, including Access Bank, Ecobank Ghana, Hollard Insurance, Enterprise Insurance, Chale Ticketing App, and Republic Bar.

The January 6, 2026 spectacle is set to be remembered as a defining moment for Ghanaian live music—establishing a new reference point for event organisation, production excellence, and audience experience. It now stands as a blueprint for local artistes, a cultural barometer for what fans should expect, and a powerful challenger to long-standing shortcomings within Ghana’s live entertainment landscape.
