The Ahafo Regional Command embarked on a drug preventive education with the Medical staff of the Goaso Government Hospital. The purpose of the sensitisation was to educate the staff on the consequences of illicit and prescription drugs of abuse in the Ahafo Region.
The NACOC team led by ANCO Jude Francis Poku urged the staff to collaborate with the Commission in the campaign against drug abuse.
Thus collaborating with the treatment of persons suffering from Substance Use Disorders as well as reporting illegal trafficking of Narcotics and prescription drugs.
ANCO Jude Francis Poku further urged that persons suffering from Substance Use Disorders must be encouraged to seek help and be given evidence-based treatment to make them productive to society and the country at large.The Medical staff commended the Commission for their efforts in the drug fight.
