A security guard at Mim Senior High School in the Ahafo Region has allegedly been confronted by male students after reportedly attempting to coerce a female student into entering a sexual relationship with him.
The guard, identified as Obonto, is alleged to have approached the student after discovering that she had left the school premises without authorisation.
According to reports surrounding the incident, the guard allegedly threatened to report the student to the school authorities unless she agreed to his demands. He is said to have presented the student with an ultimatum, allegedly insisting that she either enter into an affair with him or face disciplinary action for leaving the school grounds without permission.
The student reportedly alerted some of her male colleagues through a text message about the encounter before accompanying the security guard to his quarters.
The male students are subsequently said to have proceeded to the guard’s residence, where they reportedly confronted him while the female student was present.
The circumstances surrounding the confrontation remain unclear, and there has been no confirmed account detailing precisely what transpired between the security guard and the students when they arrived at the residence.
It is also not immediately clear whether the alleged incident has been formally reported to the management of Mim Senior High School or referred to the Ghana Police Service for investigation.
The allegations have not been independently verified, and the security guard has not been publicly reported as having responded to the accusations. Consequently, the claims remain allegations at this stage and should not be treated as established facts unless they are substantiated through an appropriate investigation or judicial process.
