Dr. Okoe Boye made the pledge after recording a commanding victory in the Greater Accra Regional NPP elections, where he secured 488 votes against 173 votes obtained by his challenger, giving him a decisive margin and a strong mandate to assume leadership of the party in the region.

In a message expressing appreciation to constituency executives for their participation and support, the newly elected chairman characterised his victory as a decisive affirmation of confidence in his leadership and vision for the party.

He subsequently shifted attention towards the broader political objective facing the NPP, making it clear that his responsibilities would extend beyond the successful conclusion of the regional elections.

According to Dr. Okoe Boye, the Greater Accra Regional NPP organisation would work relentlessly towards strengthening the party and ultimately helping Dr. Bawumia secure victory in the 2028 presidential election.

“We shall not rest until we make Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia President of the Republic of Ghana,” he stated, signalling the importance he attaches to the former Vice President’s presidential ambitions and the role he intends the Greater Accra branch to play in the campaign.

The declaration places the Greater Accra Regional NPP organisation at the centre of Dr. Okoe Boye’s immediate political priorities, particularly as the party prepares to rebuild its structures and reconnect with voters following its defeat in the 2024 general election.

The newly elected chairman also extended his appreciation to constituency executives across the region for the confidence they demonstrated through their votes, as well as for the encouragement and commitment they offered throughout the electoral process.

He described the support received from party officials as an important foundation upon which his administration would build as it begins the task of consolidating the party’s presence across Greater Accra.

Dr. Okoe Boye concluded his message with a declaration that his administration represents the beginning of a new phase for the party in the region, stating, “Thank you, Greater Accra. The Restoration Begins!”

His emphatic electoral victory and subsequent commitment to Dr. Bawumia’s presidential ambition are expected to shape the direction of the Greater Accra NPP leadership as the party turns its attention towards rebuilding its grassroots structures, strengthening internal organisation and preparing for the 2028 national contest.
