The Committee of Administrators (CoA) member, S. Y. Quraishi is confident that the representatives of the joint team of FIFA and Asian Football Confederation (AFC) that are set to visit India later this month will co-operate with them as they look to run the day-to-day affairs of Indian football.

The Supreme Court had earlier this month directed Praful Patel to step down as the president of the All India Football Federation (AIFF) and dissolved his committee, while appointing a three-member Committee of Administrators (CoA) headed by former top court judge AR Dave to manage the affairs of the federation on an interim basis.

here are fears that FIFA could ban India considering that they have banned other countries in the past due to third-party interferences, but Quraishi hopes that it will be a favourable meeting for all the parties concerned.

“We are planning to invite them because we know there will be some concerns… we will seek their co-operation and in turn tell them what’s our plan of action. We have planned our first formal meet at the Football House in New Delhi on June 8 and also speak to the stakeholders. Our job is to finalise the constitution, get the approval of the apex court and immediately thereafter start the electoral process,” he said as quoted by the Telegraph.
