Nana Fredua-Agyeman Jnr. with his award at the 6th GAW Awards


Ghanaian Writer and Poet, Nana Fredua-Agyeman Jnr. made history at the Sixth (6th) Ghana Association of Writers Literary Awards as the first writer to win an award in all positions in the same category.

His work, ‘Letter To Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’ was adjudged second prize winner at the awards ceremony held on 21st January 2023 at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly Hall. 

In 2018, he won third prize with ‘My Lost Friend’, a moving tribute to his late pal, and first prize in 2021 with ‘Where I Come From’ setting the record as the only recipient of first, second, and third prizes in the Kofi Anyidoho Spoken Word category since the inception of the awards.

His first and second prizes feature on his maiden Spoken Word album titled, ‘Ponder’ released in December 2021.
