The National Vice President of the Council of Zongo Chiefs who doubles as the President of the Akyem Abuakwa Council of Zongo Chiefs, Sariki Alhaji Abubakar Umar has advised Ghanaian Muslims parents to desist from wasting money on smocks and invest such resources in their children’s future, especially in the area of education.
According to him, education is a tool and a passport needed by every child to progress in life, whether formal or informal and he will urge all Muslim parents to see the need to invest in their children.
“Our children are the future generation, and we cannot afford to fail them. We must invest in them,”
Alhaji Abubakar Umar appealed to Muslims and residents of Zongo communities to prioritize supporting their children’s education by paying for the child’s school materials and fees.
Furthermore, Alhaji Abubakar Umar advised all Muslim youth across the nation to stay away from any political violence.
He mentioned that all the political parties in Ghana here used Muslim youths when it comes to the campaign period. He cautioned Muslim youth to be extra vigilant and abstain from dirty politics.
He made this statement during their first quarter council meeting in 2023 held at Kyebi.
