The Supreme Court appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) on Monday confirmed that Kushal Das has taken leave from his post as General Secretary on account of health issues.
The CoA met on Monday to discuss various issues surrounding the working of the All India Football Federation (AIFF), with the members accepting Das’ leave of absence and appointing Mr. Sunando Dhar as an Acting General Secretary, who would be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Federation.
As per a statement on behalf of the CoA, they do the needful for holding an election as per the new constitution suggested by the Honourable Supreme Court as soon as possible and thereafter, the Constitution shall be placed before the AIFF General Body for its approval.
Das recently found himself in controversy after former Minerva Punjab FC owner, Ranjit Bajaj accused him of sexually harassing employees at the workplace and even going on to lodge a complaint with the National Commission of Women (NCW) against him.
AIFF for their part refuted allegations made against Das with theFederation’s integrity officer recently clearing him of alleged “sexual assault” and “molestation” at the workplace charges- with the officer calling such allegations as “frivolous and devoid of truth” in his report.
