Report by Daniel Akwasi NUAKO, Bibiani
The Member of Parliament (MP) for Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Constituency, Mr. Alfred Obeng Boateng, has asked Ghanaians and his constituents to disregard a press conference held by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to peddle falsehood and other allegations against him.
According to the Member of Parliament, for the past two years in government, the development agenda of government projects in the constituency has been a little bit slower than in previous years and therefore called on the central government to bring out a preferred Municipal Chief Executive for Bibiani- Anhwiaso- Bekwai Municipal Assembly to work with and foster for development and employment for the teeming youth in the constituency.
He was, however, worried that instead of the NDC constituency executives seeing the positive direction of his earlier statement made, they(NDC) are rather chastising and hunting him for no reason.
He has appealed to the public, especially the constituents to disregard the fictitious and malicious press conference held by the Bibiani-Anhwiaso- Bekwai National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The lawmaker stressed that before he emerged as the MP for the constituency, he had donated three pick-ups to the Ghana Police Service, and a power plant to the Bibiani Government Hospital.
He added that he again donated vehicles to the party for campaigning in the Western North Region and facilitated many other development projects within the municipality.
Mr. Alfred Obeng Boateng refuted allegations peddled against him that he is not on good terms with traditional authorities in the Constituency.
He called on the Concerned Polling Station Executives of the NPP that the over 1000 people who signed a petition to the President to nominate a preferred candidate as MCE for the Municipality are neither here nor there and urged them to be calm and work hard for the party to win the 2024 general elections.
