The Customs Division of Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has announced to the general public that a three-month Amnesty has been granted to all users of uncustomed vehicles effective 1st October, 2021 to 31st October, 2021.

This amnesty waives all penalties that would have been incurred should such vehicles be impounded by the Customs Division.

A release in Accra therefore advised that all users of uncustomed vehicles are advised to take advantage of this window and regularize documentation of their vehicles that have been illegally imported into the country. Failure to do so will lead to the vehicles being impounded by the National Vehicle Task Force (NVTF) upon expiry of the window.

“The general public should note that after 31st December, 2021, the NVTF will undertake a nationwide unannounced inspection of vehicles on the roads and impound all uncustomed vehicles.

“For further information, kindly visit the nearest Customs Division Office or the GRA Head Office off Starlets 91 Road, near Accra Sports Stadium, Ministries. You may also call the following telephone numbers (0302) 502330/ 502338/9 or Email Information to Info@gra.gov.gh for assistance,” the release stated.
