When does the Championship start?
The 2022/23 Championship season will begin on 29 July, a Friday night where recently relegated Burnley travel to Huddersfield Town.
That weekend sees Middlesbrough take on West Brom, Watford host Sheffield United and Cardiff play Norwich.
The league starts a week earlier than usual to accommodate the winter World Cup in Qatar. The final gameweek before players are called up by their respective countries will be 12th November. The Championship then resumes again in 10th December, two weeks earlier than the Premier League.
When does the Championship end?
The final gameweek of the 2022/23 Championship season will be on 6 May, with all teams playing their last games simultaneously.
Norwich vs Blackpool, Burnley vs Cardiff and Swansea vs West Brom are among the final games of the season, which could see the title, play-off spots and relegated teams decided.
