Boafo Kojo Frempong presents medical equipment to Wenchi Methodist Hospital

The Parliamentary Candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for Wenchi Constituency, Hon Boafo Kojo
Frempong has presented medical equipment to Wenchi Methodist Hospital in the Bono Region.
The items were worth over GH¢400,000 (four hundred thousand Ghana cedis. They included 20 hospital
beds, 20 mattresses, 50 oxygen nasal prongs, 3 seater link chairs, 5 EKG machines, 1 Defibrillator, 2
adult ambu bag, 1 patient monitor, 1 examination lamb, 2 infusion pumps, 2 nebulizes among other
things.
The items were made up of 33 different assorted medical equipments.
The presentation of the items was at a colorful ceremony on the premises of Wenchi Methodist Hospital
on Saturday afternoon. Boafo Kojo Frempong expressed his gratitude to Dr Addai Donkor, former Director
of Supply at the Ghana Health Service for facilitating the procurement of the items.
He noted that the hospital beds and mattresses aimed to solve the ‘no bed’ syndrome at the Wenchi
Methodist Hospital.
He expressed the hope that the items would improve healthcare delivery at the facility.
"Today, I am here on behalf of Dr Alhaji Mahamud Bawumia, the NPP and in my efforts to improve the
healthcare accessibility and delivery to the good people of Wenchi constituency and beyond,” Honourable
Boafo Kojo Frempong asserted.
He further assured to resource Subinso II, Nchiraa and Tromeso Polyclinics to help promote quality
healthcare within the Wenchi Constituency.
He was accompanied by the Constituency Chairman of NPP, Mr Awudu Ali popularly known as Chairman
Bojoono and other party stalwarts.
The Medical Director at the Wenchi Methodist Hospital, Dr. Kwaku Amponsah Poku received the items on
behalf of management and staff of the hospital.
He thanked Honourable Boafo Kojo Frempong for the gesture and pledged that the hospital would make
good use of the equipment to help serve its intended purpose.
He also seized the opportunity to call on other benevolent individuals to emulate this gesture by Hon
Boafo Kojo Frempong to come to their aid.
