The Chiefs and Residents at Baakoniaba, Sebekrom, Akentesu, Nkyesenkrom, and nearby communities in Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region are appealing to the government to fix the deplorable roads and bridges in the area.
According to the residents, they have been abandoned by their executives especially their member of parliament, Hon Isaac Kwame Asiamah since he became a member of parliament for their constituency for 20 years.
They said, their MP promised to do the needful during campaign seasons and after the election he is not seen nor being proactive of the residents concerns.
Following the state of the roads and bridges, students can’t go to school and they can’t even take a pregnant woman to hospital by vehicles.
In an interview with Daily Searchlight, the residents said failure to fix the roads shall lead to political turbulence.
