EDERN Security Services Limited, a leading private security firm, has become the first Ghanaian security company to attain two of the International Organization for Standardization’s (ISO) Management System for Private Security Operations Certifications.
An ISO certification is an internationally recognized standard for quality management systems.
The International Organization for Standardization is an independent, non – governmental international organization with a membership of 168 national standards bodies.
ISO brings together experts to share knowledge and develop voluntary, consensus – based, market relevant International Standards that support innovation and provide solutions to global challenges.
Edern Security attained both the ISO 9001 and ISO 18788 certifications on March 29, 2023 for its compliance with international best practices in providing manpower security, cash in transit services and rapid response services.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO), of Edern Security Services Limited, Mr. Emmanuel Amoah Quartey, at a ceremony to officially announce the certifications’ attainment in Accra, said the achievement reflects the company’s commitment to delivering quality, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement
“ISO 9001 and ISO 18788 is more than just a certification. It is a testament to our dedication to excellence in every aspect of our operations. It demonstrates our unwavering focus on meeting and exceeding customer expectations while adhering to rigorous quality standards” he noted.
Mr Amoah Quartey said embracing these certifications signifies that Edern Security Services Limited is positioning itself as a leader in the security industry, strengthening its credibility and reputation in the market, and setting a benchmark for others to follow.
The CEO stressed that the landmark achievement required the collective efforts, dedication, and commitment of members of staff of the organization saying “we worked tirelessly to implement robust quality management system, established effective processes, and ensured the highest level of service quality.”
He noted that the ISO 9001/18788 certification provides them with a structured framework that enables the company to consistently deliver superior quality services, empowers them to identify areas for improvement, minimize risks, enhance customer satisfaction, and drive sustainable growth.
Mr Amaoh Quartey was optimistic that by adhering to the principles and guidelines outlined in these, they will not only enhance their internal efficiency, but also strengthen their relationship with valued customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
The CEO urged the management and staff of the firm to embrace the spirit of continual improvement and adaptability, foster culture of quality consciousness, where every individual takes ownership of their work, strives for excellence, and actively contributes to the growth and success of Edern.”
He opined that by leveraging the feedback from their customers, monitoring key performance indicators, and conducting regular internal audits, they will ensure that their quality management systems remain effective in the face of changing market dynamics and customer needs.
The Chairperson, Board of Directors of Edern Security Services Limited, Mrs. Florence Hutchful, in her remarks, said over the years, the company has continuously improve on the quality of service and standards of operation thereby leading to their success.
She indicated that Edern Security Services Limited is a Ghana – based private security company established in 1999 and was officially licensed on October 16, 2000, to operate.
Mrs Florence Hutchful added that the company has over the years remained very committed to providing top – notch security solutions to its numerous clients across the 16 regions of Ghana.
“Edern Security Services Limited caters for both private and public sector clients and offer a wide range of security solutions to protect against theft, fraud, fire, waste, damage and other potential threats to life and property” she said.
