Two successful and industrious twin brothers, Ebenezer and Emmanuel Banahene have given thanks to God for how far he had brought them. The two identical twins praised their maker for how he has propelled them through a very tortuous life from infancy.

The twins made this statement when they gave the opening remarks to officially outdoor their ultra-modern multimillion dollar specialist hospital at Community 18 in Tema.
Speaking at the well-attended ceremony, Emmanuel Banahene who spoke for the two disclosed very chilly and touchy life story the two have had to go through from the infancy, school days, traveling as well as working days here in Ghana and the US.

“We were teased and labeled ‘Agya mma’ because of our poor life style. We ate from the remains of people’s food, cut discarded paste tubes to brush our teeth, we didn’t have books apart from the ones from the library or friends, etc,” he said.
Ebenezer continued this chilling and touchy story that followed them to Legon, till they struggled to land in the US where things began to change for them and fortune smiled on them.

He further stated that they dreamt about the hospital 22 years ago and it has materialized in 2022 after strenuous work and efforts.
According to them, the hospital has ultra-modern facilities and departments with specialist sections like, labour ward, female wards, male wards, children wards, ENT department, Diagnostic section, dialysis section, special and private wards, physiotherapy ward, optometry section, ante and post natal sections, prostrate treatment section, fertility section , and so many specialist sections to treat all kinds of ailments.
Apart from the specialists’ services, the hospital will also treat general ailments as well. He disclosed that the hospital will be expanded with new buildings to treat other complex diseases such that Ghanaians will not travel to other places in the world for medical treatment.
Emmanuel lamented about the huge sums of money the country spend to treat people abroad which is in the region of about 350 million dollars a year.

He stated that this money can be used to expand our medical facilities in Ghana. He also cried about infant mortality rate which is about 320 babies per 10,000 birth which he said is too much. He indicated that the hospital has come to solve mother and children mortality rate on the country.
“I don’t understand why a woman should lose her life before and after childbirth or a child losing its life at birth or after birth. This is not how God ordained for us. So we have built this hospital to save lives because of what l went through in my infancy. l nearly died as a little child,” he said.

He told the gathering that they are negotiating to bring in specialists from the US and India to treat certain diseases to save Ghanaians from diseases that can’t be treated here. The twins intimated that they will offer quality but affordable medical care as their contribution to Ghanaians other nationals.
According to them, the hospital will be one of the best in Ghana and world at large.
