Parliament of Ghana is set to reconvene on Thursday, May 21, signalling the commencement of the Second Meeting within the Second Session of the Ninth Parliament under the Fourth Republic.
The notice, issued by the Office of the Speaker and endorsed by Alban Bagbin on Monday, May 4, confirmed that proceedings will begin at 10:00 in the morning at Parliament House in Accra.
The directive was made pursuant to Order 58 of the Standing Orders governing parliamentary procedure, with the Speaker indicating that the communication formally notifies Members of Parliament as well as relevant stakeholders ahead of the House’s return to sitting.
The forthcoming meeting is anticipated to provide the legislative chamber with the opportunity to advance deliberations on proposed laws alongside broader matters of national significance.
