According to the Adjena Stool, the land on which the Akosombo Maritime Club is currently located forms part of the Adjena stool land. It was leased to Volta River Authority (V.R.A) by the then chief of Adjena, one Nana Appiah Barimah II in 1998 after the signing of a deed of conveyance.

The stool has therefore denied that the VRA is fomenting any trouble in Adjena but has followed due process to lease the said land from the Adjena stool for their projects.

“VRA has over the past 50 years dealt with the indigenous people of Adjena in peace and unity for development,” the stool stated.

The Queen mother and the principal elders of Adjena are therefore serving notice to the general public to disregard the false publication about VRA and added that the institution has done no wrong.

Importantly, the stool stated that the good people of Adjena welcomes every individual, groups and institutions to come to Adjena, the land of investments attractions to transact lucrative land businesses for development in peace and unity.

The Volta River Authority has over the years upgraded from only power production to other sectors of business like Real Estate, Property Holdings, Schools, Hospitals etc to argument its operations in the country.

VRA has never invaded the Adjena community with soldiers as the community is calm and without any tension as is been alleged and the youth of the Adjena community are in total support of VRA operations to create employment for the youth. This is being used to throw dust into the eyes of the public as the Lawful traditional leaders are against this mischief.
