In the lead-up to the national budget reading, the Ghanaian-German Economic Association (GGEA) hosted Ghana’s Economic Outlook 2025 to examine the country’s economic challenges and explore solutions.
The forum brought together GGEA executives and industry leaders for discussions with a panel of government, academia, and the private sector experts.

Mr. Simon Madjie, CEO of GIPC, joined other key speakers, including Hon. Seth E. Terkper, Presidential Advisor on the Economy; Dr. M.C. Vasnani, President of GGEA; Prof. Godfred Bokpin, Economist and Professor of Finance; and Mr. Kofi Frempong-Kore, Partner and Head of Tax at KPMG.
Mr. Madjie noted that while Ghana’s economic challenges are not new, the country’s actions moving forward will determine its ability to attract the desired foreign direct investment (FDI). He emphasized the need for regulatory harmonization and tax reforms to create a more business-friendly environment.
He expressed confidence that with ongoing service enhancements at the Centre and government-led initiatives, Ghana will reaffirm its status as the region’s top investment destination, as it remains “Open for Business!”
